Meet the Teacher

Hello there, I’m Sarah and I am the proud owner of Art Stable. I am a qualified post-16 Art Teacher and I previously taught A Level Art and Design for eight years in Wirral and London, before taking a career break to have children. I love teaching art and design, and it is something I have continued to do while being a mum. When my husband and I moved to Edge with our one year old, we roughly converted the stable in our garden into a creative, messy-play space. Over the last few years, many weird, wonderful and unique pieces of art have been created through the imagination of our children and in more recent times, our dog Ted!

Art Stable has now evolved into a warm and welcoming studio; it is a place I can share with small groups and individuals who wish to create unique pieces of art whilst refining or learning new skills in an enjoyable and calm environment.

My lessons are inspired by a wide-range of artists, designers and illustrators. They begin with a demonstration and they focus on process, allowing students to learn and experiment with a variety of techniques, tools and materials to create outcomes they can be proud of.

If you have any questions or would like to hear more about Art Stable, I’d love to hear from you. You can find my contact details here, and further details regarding classes and tuition here.

I hope to see you soon!
